Australian Federal Government

Web accessibility is a mandatory requirement if you are intending to obtain Australian Federal Government business. It is primarily intended for websites and web-based service delivery and you will have to demonstrate how your products and services meet WCAG 2.1 conformance up to double A level. Failure to demonstrate web accessibility conformance could potentially exclude you from Government procurement.

Australian State and Territory Government

State and territory governments within Australia identify that WCAG 2.1 is an effective measurement for website accessibility and have similar policies requiring adherence to those guidelines.
